"Bez Kühne + Nagel by sme vyzerali ako úplní blázni tu v Dar Es Salaam, to je isté", povedal včera vo večerných hodinách Rainer Zietlow. Spolu s Jánom Andersonom a jeho kolegom Markom, Beatrica a Godfried sa nám podarilo získať diely na Tou...areg v cieli v zrýchlenom konaní, takže sa môžeme dostať dnes von okolo poludnia. Zároveň Roni a Peter, tiež z logistiky pre Kühne + Nagel vo Viedni a Frankfurte, poslali potrebné špeciálne nástroje pre mechanikov Volkswagen, ktorí sú práve na ceste do Dar Es Salaam. Dealer Volkswagen vo Viedni zapožičal ich špeciálne prístroje pre nás - veľmi ďakujeme!
Dnes v CFAO Dar Es Salaam bude svetlo zapadať neskoro. Budeme pracovať na všetkých stranách Touarega naraz. Okolo poludnia by mali doraziť dvaja mechanici, ktorí budú znovu inštalovať motor a všetky náhradné diely, ktoré prileteli. Rainer študuje itinerár pre pokračujúcu rekordnú jazdu, Marius musí preinštalovať video zariadenia a Matthias bude znova lepiť sponzorské polepy na prednú stranu Touarega.
Vo štvrtok alebo piatok - dúfajme - po mnohých hodinách čakania a práci, náš blogger Dana Packert a Christian Altmann budú kričať do dielni CFAO: "Gentlemans - Naštartujte motor"
Držte nám palce, aby náš budíček bol zvuk motora Touarega a že my sa vrátime do Iringa, Tanzánie, akonáhle to bude možné a začneme poslednú časť našej cesty.

"Without Kühne+Nagel we´d look like a complete fool here in Dar Es Salaam, that´s for sure", Rainer Zietlow said in the evening yesterday. Together with Jan Anderson and his colleagues Mark, Beatrica and Godfried we managed to get the Touar...eg through the customs in expedited procedure, so we can get them out today around noon. At the same time Roni and Peter, also logisticians for Kühne+Nagel in Vienna and Frankfurt, gave the necessary special Volkswagen tools to the Volkswagen mechanics, who are now on their way to Dar Es Salaam. The Volkswagen dealer in Vienna is lending their special tools to us - thank you very much!
One is for sure, today the lights at CFAO Dar Es Salaam will only go out late. We will work at all sides of the Touareg, all at the same time. Around noon, the two mechanics should arrive, who will be reinstalling the motor and all spare parts, which came by plane. Rainer will work out the itinerary for the continued record drive, Marius will be reinstalling the video equipment and Matthias will reattach the Sponsoring Design at the front of the Touareg.
Thursday or Friday - hopefully - after many hours of waiting and working, our blogger Dana Packert and cutter Christian Altmann will shout into the workshop of CFAO: "Gentlemans - start your engine!"
Keep your fingers crossed that this wake-up call is heard by the Touareg engine and that we´ll make our way to Iringa, Tanzania, as soon as possible, to start the last part of our journey.
